Flock Outreach Phase: Month 1

The goal this month should be to move from research into public organizing: petition signatures, volunteer onboarding, and developing a steady weekly rhythm that gives supporters something to do every week.

We should continue not centering City Hall turnout. That pressure will come later, once we have a stronger base of support.

June should focus on:

  • Getting petition signatures
  • Identifying volunteers
  • Inviting people to the next outreach opportunity
  • Testing which locations work best
  • Creating an onboarding process for volunteers

Planned Actions

Weekly Public Outreach Shift

Run one public hand-to-hand flyer and petition shift every week.

Each week, we should pick one location type:

  • Bus / transit station
  • Library
  • Farmers market or public event
  • Community center

The goal is not to do everything at once. The goal is to build a good outreach cadence that we can carry forward and that others can join.

Outreach Event Structure

Each outreach shift should include:

  • 60-90 minutes
  • Two-person minimum
  • Petition link or signup sheet
  • Flyers or half-sheets
  • Quick debrief before and after
  • Contact signers within 72 hours after the shift

Outreach Asks

Main ask:

Stockton residents deserve real safety, not private Flock surveillance. Can you sign the petition to remove Flock and get updates about future actions?

Secondary asks:

  • Can we text or email you about the next campaign action?
  • Would you volunteer for a future flyer shift?
  • Would you share the petition with other people?
  • Do you want updates when we go to City Hall or organize another public action?
