C(a). Motion to move After Hours to the third Thursday of the month.
Seconded: Tanner

C(b).Motion to choose a topic for this month’s After Hours discussion.
Seconded: Tanner

Chosen Topic: “Why should I pay my taxes?”
The proposed discussion will have three parts:

  1. Why are democrats proposing to cut taxes now?
  2. How can local taxes be properly raised and spent?
  3. Critiques of nonprofits and public-private partnerships

D. Lodi Pride

Motion to approve the following plan for Lodi Pride (info here):

Note: On the vendor application (linked here), it says that payment for application should have been paid prior to May 1st.

[IMPORTANT] Motion Change

Motion to NOT table at Lodi Pride and instead to pass out flyers as a group.
Seconded: Tanner

Discussion

After @ckposadas brought up the $75 application fee, all the members turned against the plan due to WCU’s relatively low funds.

E. July 4th parade

Open discussion about participation in this year’s Stockton July 4th parade as a vendor (info here). Feel free to open the floor to other events you think WCU should participate in July.

Appended motion to join the July 4th parade. Here were the proposed ideas:

  1. Thomas Paine booth (left leaning perspective on American traditions/founding)
  2. Tenant Union booth (“now it’s your turn to fight for your independence”)

Miscellaneous
