Side Quest Proposal

ONCE YOU ARE READY TO VOTE, PLEASE VOTE YES/NO. I am not sure about our latest quorum numbers, but quorum previously was at six, so we need 7 Yes votes for each with maximum 3 coming from Steering.

One of the workers at the Teamsters 439 Strike today mentioned that it might help them if people called into Republic Services and left a message asking them to negotiate a fair contract with the newly unionized landfill workers.

This would be a good trial run of the targeting feature in solidarity.tech, which allows people input their number, receive a call from solidarity.tech, hear a short recording with instructions, and be forwarded to Republic Service’s help desk.

I’m proposing two phases:

Phase 1: Put up a link that allows people to place calls.

Phase 2: We input our contact list that has phone numbers (~300 I think) and we text bank them (this can be done at once automatically) but we need to monitor any replies.

Optionally, we can do a Phase 3 where we phone bank and ask people to call, but I think we have our plates full already. However, if you want to try it out, please say so in your reply.

I vote Yes. Just a funny observation, the form uses the phrase “Call The Target” which sounds ominous. :joy:
