2026 Steering Committee Elections
Steering Committee did not ask for nominations at the previous General Meeting. Therefore, we are proposing two alternatives:
- Delay steering election until the January General Meeting
- Accelerated timeline to still hold elections in the December General Meeting
Accelerated Timeline
- Elect nominations committee at the November 6th General Meeting
- Nominations Committee will DM all current Members in Good Standing and ask them for nominations for all five Steering Committee positions.
- In two weeks, November 20th, Nominations Committee will post nominations on forum.
- Candidates can then finalize the position they wish to run for, if nominated for multiple.
- If there is no nomination for a position, any Member can nominate themselves
- During this time, candidates can make their case online
- At the December General Meeting, we hold the usual election
VOTE: Approve #1 or #2 for our 2026 Elections.

Side-Quest Know Your Rights
Tabling at ICE Facility
Discuss what has been going on recently and what needs to be worked on.
Things we need to work on:
- Confidentiality agreement
- A short onboarding document, hopefully a video later
- Sign up sheet can include links to the WCU resources + WCU update form + we need Punjabi translations at least
- Accompaniment training Stockton version (take what Pete had + talk to some people with local experience)
- Someone we know at the location M-F at 7, 10, and 1pm (or other time breaking points)
Why should WCU participate in this?
VOTE: Vote to approve some sort of process here, be detailed, set a deadline to revisit.
Canvassing for KYR
Revisit previous canvassing event.
Current idea is to canvas every Saturday 3-5pm.
VOTE: Vote to approve ongoing canvassing, be detailed about what we are doing and when, set a deadline to revisit.
Reading Group
We will send out another Rallly link for the Tenant Union reading group next week.
