Code Enforcement Update
I spoke with AJ from Code Enforcement the other day about the letter the tenants signed. He wants to help, but he can’t visit so many people unless he’s sure some will be there. He asked us to arrange a time when 3–4 tenants are willing to show him their units. He also asked tenants to hold on to any evidence of cockroaches or pest control call records.
He suggested bringing in a third-party pest control service to evaluate the source of the cockroaches. He mentioned he has dealt with this HOA before, when they tried to dodge responsibility for a rat problem by pointing to the nearby river. For this roach situation, he will try his best but we might need the landlords and the HOA and the tenants to coordinate with one another to address the issue.
